Reviews from Tour Alumi
Straight-forward and unbiased reviews from people who have explored Europe with me.

By far our favorite destination was the Tuscany region, with Volterra being our favorite town.  Annie (the guide in Volterra) and Ristorante Del Duca were our WOW moments.  Our cooking experience in Volterra was one of our favorite memories. Venice was a close second for the best experience.  In Venice we like staying on the Lido, away from the major tourist areas.  We loved the Lido neighborhood and being able to walk around and explore.  Our two favorite hotels were Hotel Rigel in Venice and Hotel Euturia in Volterra - they were really charming and the people running them equally so.

David's current tour offerings

When it comes to showing people around my favorite places in Europe, no one can do it better. This is not to say that I know Europe better than anyone else, it's just that I know my tour destinations like a local.  Taking a tour with Exploring Europe is a guaranteed success because we know the destinations, the hotels, the restaurants, and the things to see and experience.  We won't waste your time sitting on a bus, wandering through tacky tourist's shops, or waiting around for something to happen.  Instead you can expect a well thought-out and pre-planned tour experience designed to enhance and maximize your travel experience.  When traveling with me, you'll experience Europe from an insider's perspective... not simply as a sightseer watching Europe pass through the window of a tour bus.

FlorenceThe Best of Italy
July 23 - August 1, 2011
$3140 + air

The three Italian "biggies"...Venice, Florence, and Rome combine to make this the ultimate heart of Italy tour.  Whether it be drifting on a gondola in Venice's canals, gaping open-jawed at Brunelleschi's magnificent Renaissance dome, or even licking a gelato at Rome's famous Trevi fountain...there is sure to be a thrilling "wow" moment everyday.

You'll also experience the countryside of Tuscany while visiting Greve in Chianti, Siena, and Volterra.  Each offers a unique peek into the culture, history and ambiance of Italian hilltowns.  A highlight of the tour is our exclusive cooking class and dinner at Ristorante Del Duce in Volterra.

There is not a better opportunity to take a bite out of Italy!  Saturate your trip with "thrifty and tasteful" travels served up stress-free and cuisine heavy.
