Meet your group at the airport for your overnight flight to London, England.
After airport formalities, meet your professional guide to begin your adventure in London. We will begin with a scenic coach tour of London’s “West End” taking a look at Buckingham Palace including the Changing of the Guard (if held), Downing Street, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus. After lunch, we will head to our hotel for check-in followed by a welcome dinner.
Sleep 6 nights in London. Dinner.
Embark on a full day of guided sightseeing concentrating in the City of London which includes the financial district, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London. Enjoy a guided tour of the Tower of London which has served since 1066 as a royal residence, an armory, treasury, and a prison. Continue London sightseeing this afternoon and/or concert performance opportunities. Dinner or Lunch voucher.
Today, take a break from hectic London and enjoy an excursion to the countryside. The town of Bath is famous for its Roman-era city dating to the 1st century and the well preserved baths from that era. Additionally, Bath is a grand 18th century town with beautiful “Georgian” architecture and a wonderful pedestrian-friendly town center. Before returning to London, we’ll stop at Stonehenge. This Neolithic monument with its 50-ton pillars, part calendar/part place of worship, dates back over 3,000 years. Return to London for a performance of the London Symphony Orchestra.
We will do a bit of walking today along Whitehall, from the Westminster Houses of Parliament to the Renaissance-inspired Banqueting House, and interacting with the smartly-dressed, stony-faced Horse Guards. Then we’re off to tour the British Museum and the chronicle of Western Civilization getting up close and personal with the Elgin marbles, Rosetta stone, mummies and more. The Spruce Creek Band will have an opportunity to perform for the weekend crowds and enjoy the evening in London. Dinner or Lunch voucher.
Today we’ll get out of the city taking a cruise down the Thames River to Greenwich. Here you’ll have much of the day to explore this charming town located on the “Prime Meridian”. Later, we will walk under the river, in a tunnel built in the 1800’s to the chic upscale area known as the Docklands for a look at what is becoming the “Manhattan” of London. Enjoy dinner on your before heading back to our hotel.
Enjoy your final day in London. You may want to get in some last minute shopping, take in another museum, stroll along the Thames, or find a peaceful park. We’ll take the Tube back to our hotel and enjoy one final grand dinner celebrating your London tour experience. Dinner.
Your tour ends today. Enjoy your homeward journey and cherish the memories made on your tour to England!
