David’s Early International Travel Adventures

Join me tonight sharing some of my most memorable pre-Exploring Europe adventures.

I went on my first European trip in 1977 in college. This tour, with a group of my friends, took me to Greece, Italy, and Israel. I was a “travel rookie,” having never ventured outside the Southeastern USA!

Later, I became a band teacher and after a while began taking my students on trips to Europe.  With practice and lots of mistakes, I learned and became a savvy traveler and tour organizer.

SPAIN and PORTUGAL

The Iberian Peninsula, jutting out of the southwest corner of Europe, is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the north and west and the Mediterranean Sea on the south and east. Spain and Portugal share the peninsula. Both countries have a rich history of exploration and world domination, are steeped in a vivid culture, and offer a rich experience for the tourist.
