Trip of a lifetime

This was our first trip to Europe. David made us feel very safe and confident to do some exploring on our own. The small group atmosphere was wonderful, and we met wonderful people, shared meals together, and enjoyed local music. The hotels were clean, the restaurant choices were fabulous, as was the food. David gave us a good overview of the land and its history and culture. Our bus drivers were excellent and added a local's view of the differences and conflicts between The Republic and Northern Ireland.

We look forward to exploring more of Europe with David McGuffin!

An Awesome Trip!

We had an awesome trip. I enjoyed meeting you and the other travelers. My first big trip with a personal guide. I think you set the bar very high for future trips. I felt very comfortable and appreciated getting to know you and all the other travelers. Good luck in your travels and will definitely reach out to you for future travels. God bless.

A wonderful tour of Ireland

I just returned from the Taste of Ireland tour with David McGuffin-- it was a wonderful trip. His selection of hotels, sites to visit, restaurants, and activities were well thought out. He is a knowledgeable tour guide and engaging group leader; my family and I enjoyed our time with him. We definitely recommend his tours and hope to book a future trip!

Ireland Tour

Marlene and I just came back from the twelve day Ireland tour; we had David McGuffin as our tour guide. Hard to believe we saw so much and connected with so much history and culture in less than two weeks.

David's itinerary provided a great balance between educational stops (e.g. Trinity College, Dublin Post Office, Derry walled city, Titanic), esthetics (e.g. Glendalough national forest, cliffs of Moher, Blarney castle), and physical involvement (every day the itinerary included walking, often with options for a more or less strenuous route).

Hotels were good, food was good, and numerous nightlife options provided a great way to connect with locals. Pubs and restaurants in the Republic are very welcoming to visitors.

As the small group (8-14) bussed and ate together, it encouraged folks to make friends as we experienced new vistas together. Even though there were several time slots providing for free-time/down-time from the group, we usually ended up roaming with our new pals.

Bus drivers were excellent - the unsung heroes of the trip.

Even when it was pouring rain, which it often was, we were smiling.

Had a great time, and already looking forward to our next McGuffin experience.

The very best of Ireland and Northern Ireland

We just finished the Best of Ireland, August 2023. We had the pleasure of David as our guide. The tour was the perfect mix of planned activities and free time. Hotels were nice and transportation was comfortable. There were so many highlights along the way. Here are a few: the beauty of the Dingle peninsula (including Blasket Island Museum), the fascinating gardens at Blarney Castle and the poignant history at LongdonDerry/Derry & Belfast. And we won't forget the sheep. Sheep everywhere. In your free time in Dublin, consider visiting the Emigration Museum (EPIC) and the Little Museum of Dublin.
