You Dream it, We’ll Plan it

Exploring Europe offers a variety of destinations and tours, but if you have somewhere special in mind, we can help you plan a private tour for your friends and family. No group is too small or too large, and we offer a variety of services to assist in custom designing your tour. You can create your own itinerary for a fully-guided tour or we can help you choose your destinations and arrange accommodations as you head off the beaten path on your own.
This first-hand account from Shanti Miles-Kelley, who planned a family trip to Ireland and Wales, was featured in International Travel News Magazine. Read about her experience here.
There are lots of great itineraries to choose from in this year’s tour line up. You can use them as a starting point to plan your own tour or simply hop on one and come travel with us.

Spotlight on: Commemorating WWII

France is home to several WWII battle sites and memorials. Here is a closer look at some of the destinations from Day 8 of The Essence of France Tour.
- Mémorial de Caen: This museum and war memorial commemorates the Second World War and the Battle for Caen. It is filled with artefacts, videos and audio recordings from the war and its exhibits allow visitors to follow the Invasion of Normandy step-by-step.
- Driving tour of the Normandy beaches: Experience in person the site of the Allied D-Day landings of June 1944.
- Pointe du Hoc: At this site, Army Rangers scaled the massive cliffs in pre-dawn darkness to seize the German artillery that could have fired on the troops landing on the beaches.
- American Cemetery: where nearly 10,000 stark white markers memorialize the Americans who gave their lives on the beaches below.
- Sainte Mère Église: (time permitting), the airborne drop site made famous by “The Longest Day” and “Band of Brothers.” It was the first town in France to be liberated.

Featured Tour – The Best of Ireland, Scotland and Wales
Experience the best the British Isles have to offer with my new Best of Ireland, Scotland and Wales tour.
Walk the streets of Dublin and savor a pint of Guinness right where it’s brewed. Enjoy the wild, natural beauty of the Irish countryside: rolling hills, coastal mountains and 600-foot cliffs. Take part in village life at a local pub with some traditional Irish music before heading on to Scotland. Discover Edinburgh and its historic castle. Then visit St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf. Head to the Highlands for breathtaking, rugged landscapes and serene lochs. A quick train ride will whisk you through the scenic Scottish Lowlands and Northern England. Then it’s on to Wales, to the coastal town of Conwy and its hilltop castle. Visit a working woolen mill and a slate mine, then take a steam-engine train to Snowdonia National Park to explore the Welsh countryside.
