David shares some of his most memorable pre-Exploring Europe adventures.

David went on his first European trip in 1977 in college. This tour, with a group of my friends, took me to Greece, Italy, and Israel. He was a “travel rookie,” having never ventured outside the Southeastern USA!

Later, David became a band teacher and after a while began taking his students on trips to Europe.  With practice and lots of mistakes, David learned and became a savvy traveler and tour organizer.
