A $400 deposit is required to reserve your seat. This deposit is fully refundable until 120 days before your departure date. We are traveling with the Mt Dora band to Scottland Aug 3-8 and are planning on staying on for a few days before heading to Ireland. We would like to visit the lochs and perhaps Isle of the Sky. Do you have any suggestions on booking a short trip out that way, perhaps by train or bus? We fly to Dublin on the 11th.

Hi Susan, I look forward to taking the Mount Dora Pipe Band to some key destinations in Scotland. While not my standard Best of Scotland tour, your tour will cover many key destinations. I get many requests to visit the Isle of Skye, but why? I think that’s what Americans think of when the Scottish Highlands come to mind, Highlander, Jamie and Clare, Bonnie Prince Charlie, etc. However, I believe there are just as many beautiful destination, castles, and vistas without having to travel for days from Edinburgh. The areas around Loch Ness, Inverness, Cairngroms and Trossachs National Parks, any Hebrides island, and Oban, bring all the beauty and experiences, without the distance.
